Have you ever yelled at your neighbour?  Maybe it was because you were frustrated or maybe it was because you wanted to get their attention.

For the last couple of Sundays we have been talking about the type of neighbours we are, all with the hope of becoming good neighbours. Last week as we wrapped up our time together we discovered a great truth.  Romans 12:21 says “Don’t let evil conquer you, but conquer evil by doing good.”  In other words, when someone does something bad to you, don’t respond in kind. Instead respond by doing something good, because then you’ll begin to change that relationship for the good.  This is hard to do though, isn’t it?

How do we go from yelling at the neighbour to doing good and changing that relationship?  Last week we talked about how our thinking, our perspective and our behaviours need to be transformed if we are to become the good neighbour that Jesus envisions.  This week, as we continue our series, we’ll discover how to go from yelling at your neighbours to inviting them into relationship.   I hope you’ll join us this Sunday as Pastor Peter speaks with us about living an invitational life.
