Every Sunday at 9:30 am I stop what I’m doing, I focus my attention and adoration on God, and then I pray for our church family and our global partners. I’m not alone in doing this; 30-40 other people from Living Hope join me. This is an important part of my Sunday morning rhythms; it helps prepare me for everything else that follows on Sundays, including the celebration of Jesus in our worship gathering. What do you do on Sunday mornings? How do you prepare your heart to celebrate Jesus?
We call the gathering at 9:30 PrayFirst. We gave it that name because we believe that hearing from God and speaking with God needs to be the priority in our lives. We believe we need to sit at his feet together and hear the whispers of his voice above all else.
This Sunday our PrayFirst gathering will focus on talking with God about CoVid-19 (Coronavirus). We’ll talk with him about our fears, we’ll intercede for the over 90,000 people battling the virus, and we’ll pray for the church around the world that we would be a light in darkness and hope for the hurting.
If you have not attended PrayFirst before, please join us in the auditorium at 9:30-10 am. You will be purposefully led in active prayer, scripture reading and song. By God’s grace we desire Living Hope to be known as a place of supernatural healing. Could God have birthed this desire within us for such a time as this?
See you Sunday!
Pastor Kirk
PS…During our worship gathering at 10:30 am we’ll be talking about faith and the test of faith that Jesus gave to the disciples, a crowd and one small boy in John 6. Why not read the chapter over in preparation for our time together?
