Response to COVID-19

Recently, COVID-19 was declared a pandemic and the first presumptive case of the virus was diagnosed in Saskatchewan.

In response, we are monitoring the situation closely. While the risk of infection is considered LOW in Regina at this time, we have decided to take appropriate steps to mitigate the possible spread of the virus within our church family.

Instead of shaking hands or hugging when you greet each other on Sundays, we are encouraging you to elbow bump when greeting other people. Feel free to make it fun! (Once the virus has been dealt with you can return to hugging Pastor Kirk all you want.)

We have installed hand sanitizers in many locations around the building for your convenience, and we encourage you to regularly wash your hands.  The best prevention from catching a virus like COVID-19 is proper hygiene.  Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, especially after using the washroom, when preparing food, and after sneezing or coughing.

We have increased our sanitizing practices in all areas of the church.  Toys in every Kids Ministry classroom will be sanitized on a weekly basis. If you would like to help with this, please join us Monday and Thursday mornings at 10 am. Email Pastor Shauna at  shauna@mylivinghope.ca to RVSP.

If you or someone in your household is feeling ill, we would ask that you join us online at home on Sunday mornings by checking into www.mylivinghope.ca/media.

As people of faith in a good and sovereign God, let’s use this opportune time to dispense hope and peace in a time of uncertainty, while being wise and responsible as the people of God.  As always, the elders and pastors remain available to pray for anyone who is sick and requesting prayer.
