From time to time Britton and I will undertake a puzzle. Do you like to do puzzles? I often feel overwhelmed in those moments after opening the box and dumping out all the pieces. Where do I start?  Do I start with at the edge? Do I begin in a corner? Or do I jump into the middle? With puzzles, I’m often puzzled about where to start. 

Last weekend we began a new teaching series called “Brand-New.” In this series, we are looking at the brand-new way of living Jesus invites us into.  Last week we looked at 3 choices we need to make so that we will live as Jesus envisions. We need to choose to recognize that the Kingdom has come, we need to choose to let go of what is broken, and we need to choose to embrace a whole new way of living. We may find ourselves faced with the question, “Where do I begin?”

This weekend as we continue our “brand-new” series we will be looking at where and how to begin. Together we are going to discover that “the Jesus way of living” begins with submission to the rule and reign of Jesus for just one day. I hope you’ll join us this Sunday as we look at Luke 6:1-11 and discover what Jesus has to say about the one day that opens the door to living as Jesus envisions every day.
