Bulletin – May 31, 2020

Here’s what’s happening with Living Hope for the week beginning May 31, 2020.

Hope @ Home
During this period of social and physical distancing, we want to help your faith continue to thrive at home.  Our pastors are working to produce materials and opportunities to connect you with God and with your church family aside from our Sunday worship gathering. Each week we will be posting materials on social media, and we will be hosting various live events using YouTube or Zoom. Please feel free to pick and choose the materials and connections points that work with your schedule and your personality. We won’t be offended if you skip an event or ignore our posts, we just want to help you connect in this time of isolation and distancing.

  • Mystery Monday – Spiritual challenges for the whole family on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram
  • Kindness Tuesday – Stories of kindness to encourage your soul on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram
  • Worship Wednesday – Live worship with Pastor Eric on Facebook and YouTube
  • Thoughtful Thursday – Prompts for prayer on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram
  • Fun Fridays – Crafts, reading and fun ways to connect with God at home on Facebook

Follow us on FacebookInstagramTwitter and YouTube.

We are here to help
In these uncertain times, we are here to help.  If you need help with getting groceries or essentials because you are in quarantine or have lost your job, please contact Pastor Colin

Worship Gathering Online Only
In light of the recent COVID-19 Pandemic and provincial requirements that public and private gatherings be limited to 10 people or less, we will be holding our weekly worship gathering online only.  Our worship gatherings will begin at 10:30 am on Sunday on YouTube and our website.  If you have a SmartTV or AppleTV with the YouTube App you can use the app to tune in by searching for “Living Hope Regina”.  Otherwise, point your web browser to live.mylivinghope.ca.

PrayFirst Online
At 9:30 every Sunday morning one of our pastors will be hosting an online Prayer Gathering called PrayFirst, an interactive prayer time that lasts for 30 minutes. You can join via YouTube or Zoom (email Pastor Colin for the Zoom invite).

Coffee with Kirk
Join Pastor Kirk on June 3 at 7 pm as he hosts a coffee time using Zoom.  You bring the coffee, and Kirk will send you a Zoom invite.  Kirk will be discussing the Living Hope’s response to the Reopen Saskatchewan Plan. Register online by June 2 to receive the Zoom invite.

Wondering how to give?

Church Office and Pastoral Staff
Due to the COVID-19 Virus, and upon instruction from our provincial and federal government, our facility is not open to the public. While our facility is closed, the church never closes! Our pastors are available by appointment to meet with you.  If you need assistance or would like to speak with one of our pastors, please call 306.352.4673 or email info@mylivinghope.ca.

Just for Kids & Youth
We have something special planned just for kids and youth.

  • Ages 2 – 5 – Join Pastor Shauna for Fun Fridays at 10 am on Living Hope’s Facebook
  • K – Grade 6 – We want to connect with you on Wednesday evenings at 6:30 pm via Zoom. Email Pastor Shauna for the Zoom link.
  • Grades 7 to 12 – Join Pastor Daniel and the Youth Team each Wednesday night at 7 pm via Zoom.  Email Pastor Daniel for the Zoom invite. Visit the Youth Page for more information.

Watch for invites and details to these events and more on our FacebookInstagram and Twitter feeds. Learn more by visiting our Hope@Home page.

Help Us Honour our Graduates
We want to honour our ten graduates this year. We are collecting encouraging messages from anyone who would like to write them. You could choose to include a meaningful Bible verse, a personal message or a funny story. When we have collected enough encouragements, we will put together a photobook for the grads as a keepsake. Please email Pastor Daniel for the names of the graduates. Thank you for helping us to bless our graduates in this way.

Please complete your messages by June 18 and email them to Pastor Daniel.

Healing and Elder Prayer
Are you sick?  James 5:14 encourages us to call the Elders of the church when we are sick.  If you would like prayer for healing, please contact Pastor Kirk who will arrange a Zoom call between you and the Elders so that we can pray with you.

The Return of MidWeek, Virtually
On Wednesday, April 22, we brought MidWeek back via Zoom.  MidWeek is an opportunity for children, teens and adults to grow in their relationship with Jesus.  Each Wednesday, kids in Kindergarten to Grade 6 will meet from 6:00 to 6:45 pm and grades 7 to 12 will meet from 7 to 9 pm.  MidWeek is an opportunity to connect with friends and learn about Jesus.  Virtual gatherings will take place over a secure, password-protected, session of Zoom.  To connect your child or teen with one of these gatherings, please email Pastor Shauna for the kids gathering or Pastor Daniel for the teen gathering.

Wondering what’s going on?
Even though we can’t hand you a bulletin in person, we are still publishing weekly news.  Weekly news and information is available on the church website and in the church app. Our church app is the best way to stay in touch with what’s going on. We will update each week with the latest sermon, news, discussion guides, and pictures. To install the church app on your phone or tablet, simply search for Living Hope Alliance Church in the Google Play Store or Apple App Store
