There’s a saying I grew up hearing – “When life gives you lemons, make lemonade.”  The idea behind that saying and others like it, is that when life gets difficult (or sour) do something to make it better (sweeter).   It’s a great sentiment, but how do you do that?  I’ve heard this saying for years, but more often than not I have been unable to do it.  I think that’s why some people have come up with their own version of this saying, like:

• When life gives you lemons, give them back.
• When life gives you lemons, sell them on eBay.
• When life gives you lemons, wait until it offers chocolate.
• When life gives you lemons, make pickles.  (not sure I understand this one)

What do you do when life gives you lemons?   How do you find joy when life is rough?  That’s what we’ll be talking about this weekend.
