Do you remember the ending of the original Superman movie? Maybe you are too young to remember or not that young, but you still can’t remember.
(spoiler ahead)
In the original Superman movie, Lois Lane is alone in a rental car on a dirt road in California. The car stalls and won’t start again. Suddenly there is an earthquake and a huge crack opens up beneath the car. The earth swallows up the car. Trapped inside, buried alive, Lois Lane struggles to breathe as she suffocates to death. Superman arrives, but he’s too late. Lois, the love of his life, is dead. (Watch it on YouTube)
Holding Lois’ lifeless body, Superman is filled with grief. If only he could have done something to save her! But wait, this is Superman – of course he can do something. Superman takes off and flies so fast that he turns back time so that he can save Lois’s life. Superman goes back in time and changes the world to save one person.
Have you ever wished you had Superman’s powers? Have you ever wished you could turn back time or change the world in order to save just one person?
