Sermon Discussion Guide
.) Have you watched any of the Olympics? What sport do you enjoy the most? What inspires you when you watch the Olympics – the stories about obstacles and overcoming? Or a Canadian winning a medal? Or something else?
.) Choose. – Brad talked about “the easiest most difficult thing to do in life.” Olympians say – “I am going to be an Olympian.” Christians choose to accept Jesus and follow Him. What led you to choosing Jesus?
.) Get a Coach. – Jesus told the disciples that he would send a helper – that is the Holy Spirit. How have you experienced the Holy Spirit coaching you? We also need to have coaches in our day to day lives. Do you have a Coach – a close Christian brother or sister – who can support and encourage you? If not, is there someone in your life that you could pray about asking to be your coach?
.) On Sunday, Brad had two fridges on stage representing the fridge of the Holy Spirit and the fridge of the flesh. Read Galatians 5:16-26, pay attention to the characteristics that are of the flesh and the characteristics that are of the Spirit. Talk about these characteristics with your group.

.) Make a Commitment. – Daily we need to be committed to follow Jesus and ask God to help us choose to eat from the fridge of the Spirit. Take some time to share with your group about the choices you need help with and then spend some time praying for each other.
