Unstoppable Church
Acts 11:19-30
When others in the city of Regina look at people from Living Hope, what name do you think they give us? How do we live up to the name of “little Jesus” (1 Peter 4:16)? In times that you don’t represent the name “Christian” well in your neighbourhood or workplace, what will motivate you to change? Read Titus 3:3-7 – why is it significant that God motivates us with goodness and lovingkindness and not shame?
How does the list of characteristics of the church in Antioch reflect how you serve the church (passionately devoted, visibly transformed, Spirit-led)?
What intentional choices are you making to allow the Spirit to break into your life and to lead you into uncomfortable places so you can grow in faith?
The city of Antioch become the staging area and springboard for incredible, missional activity in other parts of the known world at that time. What needs to change in us to be like the believers in Antioch so that the Kingdom of God is built not only in our community but also in regions beyond?
This week, take a step to share the good news of Jesus with someone you know who needs to hear this message, looking for places and circumstances where you can be a ‘little Jesus’.
