Sermon Discussion Guide
1.) When was the last time that disruptive technology disrupted your life? Did that disruptive technology bring positive changes to your life? Did it force you to ask the question “What needs to change?”
Read Acts 2:42, Acts 2:46-47
2.) As we look at the early church this week, we see that the believers had an uncommon devotion. They had an uncommon devotion of seeking to grow in their faith. What are some things you are doing to grow in your faith?
Read Acts 4:32-33, Acts 4:34-36, 2 Corinthians 9:8
3.) We also see that the early church had an uncommon commitment. The believers had an uncommon commitment to each other, meeting together (daily) and helping each other. What is your commitment to meeting with other believers regularly? What do you do to help each other? Have you ever experienced the joy of generosity such that you had all that you needed and plenty to share with others?
Read Acts 5:12-14, Acts 5:16
4.) Another characteristic of the early church is their uncommon focus. The focus that they had was on serving the community around them. Who is the community around you? How are you involved in the community to serve?

5.) Share with each other what you are learning as you are reading through the book of Acts, journaling in the Going Beyond journal, and watching the short videos. How has God been asking you to Go Beyond? This week take some time to pray and ask the Holy Spirit if you are living a common life or an uncommon life and to guide you through this disruptive time.
