How do you change your character?
For the last 8 weeks we have been talking about how character affects who you are becoming. The starting point to changing your character is realizing that there is a higher authority than yourself who defines what is right and what is wrong. Our problem is that we put our confidence in ourselves rather than God. We judge what’s right or wrong, and we decide what we will and will not do. This is how we ended up exactly where we are today. Until we acknowledge that God is the one who sets the standard for life, we won’t experience change in our life or our character.
This weekend, as we continue our ‘Becoming’ series, Pastor Peter will be speaking from James 4:13-17 and exploring what this passage has to say about changing your character. I hope you’ll join him – together you’ll explore what James says about putting your confidence and trust in God rather than yourself.
May the peace of Christ reign in you today!

Join us November 11th for The HOOTENANNY! Tour, a worship hoedown featuring Tim Neufeld and the Glory Boys. What is a “worship hoedown” you ask? It’s a bluegrass-inspired night of music and joy… beards, banjos, and blessings for the whole family!
