BOARD OF ELDERS REPORT – MARCH 2025

Greetings Church Family,

We are enjoying River Running alongside you all as we embrace the adventure of spiritual formation. We pray that the Lord encourages you as you practice spiritual disciplines, learning to leverage them as our paddle to “allow us to dip our lives into the transforming work of Jesus, so that He may transform you and I into the image of Jesus.” (Tim Busse, January 12

As we adventure together, here are some recent highlights from your Board of Elders:

Alliance Global Gathering

March 1-6 in Chaing Mai, Thailand, an inaugural event took place. The first-ever gathering of international workers in one place occurred. They focused on God’s global mission and the future of missions, with a special emphasis on the next generation and leadership development. We are thrilled as a church that we were able to have a group of 6 individuals from our congregation, plus 3 of our pastors, attend this event. We look forward to hearing about their inspiring experiences and encounters with God when they return. Let’s keep them in our prayers as they travel home and reflect on this spiritual journey.

A Heritage from the Lord

Our church has been blessed with the joy of child dedications in our congregation. Over the past couple of months, we have had the honour of dedicating 6 children to the Lord, and we have 2 more dedications scheduled in the upcoming months. Each child is a precious gift from God, and it is our privilege as a church community to support their families in nurturing their faith.

Evaluating Financial Freedoms

As we are in this season of exploring the next iteration of Living Hope Alliance Church, the board has been digging into God’s vision for us. One question we have posed to ourselves is ‘What would the potential impact of being mortgage-free mean for our church?’ Imagine the possibilities! We could allocate more resources towards our ministries, outreach programs, or community services, to name a few. Pastor Tim has been faithfully hosting focus group sessions where he queries our congregation on topics like this, among many others, to get a strong sense of who our church is and will be in Christ. We encourage you to find an upcoming session that matches your demographic and share your voice and prayers with us.

In all these things, we pray for the Holy Spirit to guide us, and we put our trust in God!
