BOARD OF ELDERS REPORT – JULY 2024

Dear Church Family,

Greetings in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ! We are grateful for the opportunity to share with you the latest updates and highlights from our church board’s recent meetings and activities. Here are some highlights:

Worship and Spiritual Growth:

  • Our worship services continue to be a time of meaningful encounters with God. We are blessed to see many lives being touched and transformed through worship, preaching, and prayer. We encourage everyone to join us regularly as we seek to grow deeper in our faith and relationship with Christ.
  • We praise God, that Keith Kitchen has accepted the role of Worship and Creative Arts Pastor and will be starting at Living Hope on August 6th. Please pray for Keith and his family during this transition as they move to Regina.

Ministry and Outreach:

  • Pastor Tim Busse and Melissa attended the Alpha seminar in London, England with over 5,000 followers of Christ representing 67 countries and numerous denominations. This conference was impactful in so many ways. Pastor Tim has returned inspired, focused and equipped to lead us onward.
  • We are looking forward to our Summer Kids Camp, weekday mornings from July 22-26. Please continue to pray that the children and families attending will be impacted and blessed while attending.
  • The Alliance General Assembly conference was held in Toronto July 9th to 12th. Pastor Tim Busse, Melissa Busse, Renae Eldred and Deji Oyetuga attended as delegates of Living Hope.
  • Our ministries are actively serving the needs of our congregation and community. From children’s and youth ministries to small groups and midweek morning prayer, people are being nurtured in spiritual growth at all ages.

Financial Stewardship:

  • We are thankful for the faithful giving of our congregation. Your tithes and offerings enable us to sustain our ministries, support missions, and maintain our church facilities.
  • Our finance team continues to manage our resources wisely, ensuring accountability in all financial matters.
  • With our fiscal year end being June 30, we are so thankful to report that we are on track to meet or even exceed our 2023/2024 giving budget. This will enable us to start our next fiscal year in a strong position.

Prayer and Support:

  • Please continue to lift up in prayer, our church staff, leadership, various ministries, and the specific needs within our congregation. Prayer is a powerful tool that unites us and aligns our hearts with God’s will.

Looking Ahead:

  • We are excited about the future of our church and the opportunities ahead of us to grow in faith, reach more people with the gospel, and deepen our impact in our community.
  • Stay tuned for upcoming events and initiatives that you can be a part of as we journey together as a church family.
  • We would encourage you to ask yourself where God would have you serve and use your giftings to further his kingdom.

Thank you for your continued prayers, support, and commitment to our church’s mission. Together, let us press forward in faith, knowing that God is faithful and His plans for us are good.

Blessings to you all, from your board of elders,

Wayne, Tim, Shelley, Jason, Deji, Lola, Shannon, Gwendolyn.
