Passionately Devoted
Pastor Kirk, July 5th, 2020
Scripture: Rev. 3:14-22
Summary: Are we living a lukewarm life, or are we passionately devoted to God?
Checking In (Focus Here):
Galatians 6:2 – Bear one another’s burdens: Ask each other how you are doing and listen to what is happening.
1 Thessalonians 5:11 – Encourage one another: Speak the hope of Christ to one another. Encourage each other.
Ephesians 6:18 – Pray for one another: Spend time praying for one another.
Going Deeper:
- Do you prefer cold or hot drinks?
- Jesus is called “Amen” in Rev 3. What do you think about this name for Jesus? How is Jesus the great Amen?
- What are the marks of a passionately devoted life?
- What makes a life lukewarm towards Jesus? What drives the lukewarm life?
- What are you most passionate about in life?
- Do your passions ebb and flow? How does Jesus need to refresh your passions and desire for Him?
Apply It:
Pastor Kirk said that “you will get as much of Jesus as your desire.” How is your desire for Jesus? This week asses with your calendar and how you are spending your time the health of your passion. Are you cold, lukewarm or hot? Is Jesus knocking at the door of your life?
