Scripture: Revelation 2:8-11
Summary: The Christ-centered life is loyal to the end. To remain loyal throughout you need a greater vision of who Jesus is.
Checking In (Focus Here):
Galatians 6:2 – Bear one another’s burdens: Ask each other how you are doing and listen to what is happening.
1 Thessalonians 5:11 – Encourage one another: Speak the hope of Christ to one another. Encourage each other.
Ephesians 6:18 – Pray for one another: Spend time praying for one another.
Going Deeper:
- Are you loyal to Jesus in every situation? Are there certain situations that you struggle in? Is there an commonality between those situations?
- How do you gain a clearer vision of Jesus during times of peace, to pull from in times of turmoil?
- What is your role in helping other’s see Jesus clearer? Without giving pat answers, platitudes, or empty hope?
- Read Hebrews 12:1-3: What do these verses tell us we need to remain loyal? Do we do this on our own?
- Do you have a symbol in your house, from your life, that points to Jesus faithfulness to you?
- What is coming down the pipe at you in the near future that you need to face with Jesus?
Apply It:
Ask Jesus to reveal himself to you in your history. The ups and the downs. Write down what Jesus imparts to you. Where has Jesus been present in all areas of your past? How is he directing and spurring you on into the future?
