Who Is My Neighbour?
A Beautiful Day in the Neighbourhood
Pastor Colin, April 26th, 2020
Scripture: Luke 10:25-37
Summary: It does not matter who your neighbor is. It matters how we live our lives as a neighbor.
Checking In (Focus Here):
Galatians 6:2 – Bear one another’s burdens: Ask each other how you are doing and listen to what is happening.
1 Thessalonians 5:11 – Encourage one another: Speak the hope of Christ to one another. Encourage each other.
Ephesians 6:18 – Pray for one another: Spend time praying for one another.
Going Deeper:
- What do you see as the attributes of a good neighbor exhibited by the good Samaritan?
- Step into the place of need (Interruption)
- Meet the need (Bandage/shelter)
- Create a space to heal (At the inn)
- Live our lives (Continued on/ Check back in)
- Who has God placed into your path as a neighbour? Who is a Person of Peace that God has sent you to (Luke 10:1-24)?
- How has God uniquely gifted you to love your neighbors?
Apply It:
Fill out the neighbourhood block map which you can find at mylivinghope.ca/neighbour. Follow the instructions and fill it out to the level of time that you have been in proximity to your neighbours. The longer you have been near them the more details it could contain.
