Yada, Yada, Yada

Scripture:Ephesians 1:15-21
Main Thought: We can know the hope, peace and truth of Christ in our lives.
Summary: Head knowledge about God on its own will not change your life.
Getting to Know Each Other (Start Here):
Remember your first car? Did you know all the quirks and clunks of that vehicle? How did you take care of your car?
Going Deeper:
- How would you describe your spiritual journey? Are you living the victorious Christian life? Do you experience victory in every aspect of your life?
- Brad introduced us to the Hebrew word Yada which means to know. That is, to know God not just by possessing a head knowledge of who He is but a knowing that your heart has been changed. Do you really know Jesus? In your head? In your heart? In both your head and heart? How do you know that you really know Jesus in your heart and not just your head?
- Read Ephesians 1:15-21. Do you know (Yada)the hopeto which you’ve been called? How have you experienced a deep knowing of hope in your life?
- John 14:27. Do you truly know (Yada) the peaceof Christ? Do you know about peace in your head or do you truly know it in your heart? Do you know the peace of Jesus Christ through the Holy Spirit?
- John 8:32. Do you truly know (Yada)the truthof who Jesus is deep in your heart? Do you know the truth of who you are in Jesus? Have you experienced true freedom through life with Jesus Christ?
Apply it:
- How do you view these words – Yada, Yada, Yada? What do you know in your head that still needs to change your heart?
- Is your life full and over flowing – spiritually speaking? Do you really know (Yada) Jesus?
- This week, pray: Jesus, by your Holy Spirit, help me to Yada your truths in my life.
