What is the second question we typically ask when we meet someone for the first time? The first question is usually “Who are you?” or “What’s your name?”, but what’s the second question?
Over the last couple of weeks in our teaching series, “The Forgotten Spirit”, we have been exploring who Holy Spirit is. Last week we explored the answer to the first question, “Who are you?” We learned who Holy Spirit is and what his name is. This week as we continue our series we are going to explore the second question we ask when we meet someone, “What do you do?”
“What do you do?” Knowing the answer to that question helps us to know and relate more closely to a person .
A few years ago Britton and I were having dinner with some friends of ours. We had known them for a few years and I knew roughly what the guy did for a career. I knew the title on his business card, but that didn’t mean a lot to me. That night over dinner, as we talked, I learned what he did on a day-to-day basis. As my friend revealed what he did everyday our relationship grew closer because I came to understand him in a deeper way.
This weekend we are going to ask the question, “What does the Holy Spirit do?” I hope you’ll join us this weekend as we explore John 16:5-15 together. We will learn what Jesus says about what Holy Spirit does in our life so that we can grow deeper in our relationship with Holy Spirit.
See you Sunday,
Pastor Kirk

Baptism Sunday
Have you been baptized? Baptism is a defining moment in the life of a Jesus follower. It is the moment when you declare publicly that you’ve committed yourself to following Jesus’s way of living. If you’d like to learn more about baptism and/or be baptized, join Pastor Peter on Sunday, May 6th at 9 am. There will be an opportunity to be baptized during the May 27th service.
Prayer Summit
Join us Sunday April 29th at 7 pm as we learn and pray together as a family. This month our 60 minute Prayer Summit will feature active experiences that will teach that prayer can be more that just sitting silently with our eyes closed. This is a great opportunity for families to learn and practice talking with God together in a fun and meaningful way.
