What’s his name?

When my son was little he was always making friends.  We’d go to McDonalds and while we watched, he would invariably make friends with someone in the playroom.  Eventually Liam would come running out and ask, “Can my friend come over?”   We would always respond, “What’s his name?”  Liam would run back into the playroom yelling, “Heh friend, what’s your name?”

Can you really call someone a friend if you don’t know their name?  Do you really know someone if you don’t know their name?  Can you really trust someone if you don’t know their name?

Last week we began a series called “Forgotten Spirit” which is all about discovering who the Holy Spirit is, what He does, why we need Him, and how to be filled with the Spirit.  This week we’ll be exploring John 14 and zeroing in on two verses in particular that tell us the Holy Spirit’s name.  Did you know the Holy Spirit has a name?

I hope you’ll join us this weekend as we learn more about the Spirit and allow him to reveal His name to us, because you don’t really know someone until you know their name.

See you Sunday,

Pastor Kirk
