Hello Church Family,
Apostle Paul said it well, “Grace to you and peace from God the Father and our Lord Jesus Christ” (Galatians 1:3). We are pleased to take a moment and share some updates from the board’s recent meetings.
One key theme is God’s provision in a season of change and what a season it has been! We can’t imagine a better tie into our recent series “Journey to the Centre” highlighting our dependence on God’s grace and strengthening through faith. We cherish your faithfulness in cultivating dynamic devotion through the Holy Spirit, orienting towards the centre and living under God’s grace.
Our change highlights over the past few months include:
- Welcoming a new Director of Operations, Brad Luna and his family.
- We have some new faces on the board and had some changes with the following appointments:
- Treasurer – Jason Pingert
- Secretary – Bill Komarnicki
- Member at large – Emmanuel Adediji
- Continuing in service we have:
- Board Chair – Wayne Bernakevitch
- Lead Pastor/Vice Chair – Tim Busse
- Members at large – Shelley Patterson, Gwendolyn Schroeder, Lola Sotomi
In our recent Board of Elders meetings, we have been focused on the standard items such as a revised board action plan, transitioning knowledge and developing new members. Additionally, we have been working on setting some foundational markers to help frame the next iteration of Living Hope Alliance Church’s vision while also diligently reviewing our church facilities and our financial position as we strive to be faithful stewards.
We financially empowered Pastor Tim and Pastor Keith to resolve some immediate pressing needs with our audio-visual equipment. As those needs are addressed, our pastoral team is working with experts in the industry to explore the larger picture of our AV requirements longer term. We welcome your prayers as our church navigates this area. The board would also like to express gratitude to everyone involved in working with the current setup and to those helping assess and rebuild.
Thank you for your continued prayers, giving and serving as we progress on our journey to the centre. Let’s orient ourselves on Him and embrace the true blessing of this special season.
Your Board of Elders
