Do You Really Believe?
Every One Matters

Pastor Colin, June 27, 2021

Read: Micah 6:6-8, Gen 1:27, 1 Cor 9:19-23

Big Idea:    If you really believe that every one matters then you’ll do everything you can to reach that one.

Getting to Know Each Other (Start Here):

  • Do you have something that is precious to you? Why does it have value to you?

 Going Deeper:

  1. Do people have inherent value to you? Why or why not? How does this impact how you live?
  2. Do you know that you matter to God? Do you believe that others matter to God?
  3. Read 1 Cor 9:19-23: Paul did all this for the sake of the gospel? What have you risked for the gospel? What is the gospel?
  4. How do we proclaim and demonstrate to people that they matter?
  5. Read Matt 5:43-48: do you think that the lost and found are equally loved by God? What did these words mean to the Jewish listeners who lived under Roman occupation? Where does this connect in our current context?
  6. What can you do in response to the reality that everyone matters to God? Who in your life needs to know that they matter?
  7. Colin posed the question, “Do you look at people and make a value judgement?”  Its possible that many of us do. So then, what practical things can we do to break through the barriers of value judgements to share the gospel and love of Christ?

Apply it:

Work through the BLESS practices this week and bless someone:

  • Begin with prayer, Listen with care, Eat together, Serve with love, Share your story.
  • Who could you share a cup of cold water with this hot week. Pastor Colin mentioned donating water at a Regina Community Fridge or to Mobile Crisis Services.

Spend time praying for and with each other. (If you are comfortable allow moments of silence to linger to hear from God).
