The Marks of a Missional Church
Pastor Juan, May 30, 2021
Read: Acts 11:19-30
Big Idea: The ABCs of a Missional Church are Apostolic Passion, Bless the Nations, and Commitment to Disciple Making
Getting to Know Each Other (Start Here):
- Have you ever gone on a mission’s trip?
Going Deeper:
- Pastor Juan referenced Matt 28:16-20 and Acts 1:1-11. Read them together. What are we commanded to do? How are we to do it? Are there any promises in these passages?
- Can you remember the good and bad ABC’s to measure church success?
- How do you measure success in the church? How do you think God measures success?
- What do you think about Apostolic Passion? Is this something that you want in your life?
- What can we do as a community group to bless the nations this week? (Spend time praying and ask to have eyes to see the opportunities around us. Commit to a bless action this week).
- Who are you being discipled by right now? Who are you discipling?
- What nation can we be praying for, as a community group, throughout June? Let’s commit to praying for a least reach people group when we gather and individually at home.
- Do your hands, feet and voice bring recognition of our Lord Jesus Christ to your family and neighbors and to people of other nations?
Apply it:
- Pray: Using the Joshua Project App or website to pray for the unreached people of the world.
- BLESS: How can you bless someone this week using the BLESS practices?
- Act: Think of yourself as a missionary this week in your city. What will you do to proclaim the Gospel?
Spend time praying for and with each other. (If you are comfortable allow moments of silence to linger to hear from God).
