getting real about what matters most.
REAL is a youth ministry designed specifically for students in grade 7-12. We strive to create exciting and engaging programs where students can get real about life and faith, no matter where they're at. The leaders at REAL are dedicated to investing in our students and coming alongside them as they journey through their formative years leading up to graduation. Whether our students are going through a rough time, have big questions to ask, or simply want someone to hang out with, we want to be available to them every step of the way.
We exist to help our students become what Jesus envisions.
REAL is part of the Midweek service at Living Hope that happens on Wednesday evenings. Dinner is available from 5:30 to 6:30 for all ages. Dinner costs $2.00 for students and $4.00 for adults. At 6:30 we open the youth room for hang out and check-in. Our main programs on Wednesdays run from 7:00 to 9:00. On the last Friday of every month we have a big event that typically runs from 7:00 to 10:00. We run four programs on a rotation:
Every evening is packed with fun and engaging programming tailored specifically for teenagers. See below for details on our four programs.
Real Talk is our main program that alternates with Real Life every other Wednesday from 7:00 to 9:00 PM. As always, the youth room opens at 6:30 for hang out. Here is what a typical Real Talk night looks like:
These nights are designed for students to learn about faith and how to apply it in every day living. The elements of each night are designed to re-enforce the content and themes being taught each week. These nights are centered around fun and interactive large-group activities and teaching.

MONDAYS AT 7:00 PM
Bible Quizzing takes place Monday nights at 7 pm. It is a scripture memory and competition opportunity for students in grades 7 to 12. The Quiz year officially runs from September 1 through to the first weekend in May. Quizzing provides an exciting, demanding, and loving framework through which quizzers study and memorize scripture in fun and creative ways. The competition encourages a learning process that teaches both quizzers and coaches the value of sportsmanship, fellowship and teamwork. Quizzers have an opportunity to meet new people when they travel to quiz meets throughout the year. Each year a portion of New Testament scripture, a book or books, are designated as the “material” from which the year’s competition will be conducted. This year is the book of 1 Corinthians.
